You sent the E-Postcard
Mr President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
I join the call made on World Press Freedom Day by the International Federation of Journalists for the immediate and unconditional release of journalists jailed in Iran since the elections of June 2009.
Since the mass trial last August of scores of intellectuals, writers and journalists, some 30 journalists remain in prison. Their sole crime was to do their job like any other journalist for which they are put behind bars in violation of the Iranian constitution and international laws.
We urge you to release them forthwith and to allow our affiliate, the Association of Iranian Journalists to reopen its office in Tehran.
