  KNOCK - KNOCKS

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
The butterfly.
-“Where were you long ago?”
Long ago I was an egg,
Then a larva…
Now I am so proud of my wings !

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
The butterfly catcher.
I just saw a map of splendor
Flying in the air.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Grandma.
I came to tell the butterfly catcher
To become a gardener
So he will enjoy forever
The lovely sight of butterflies.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
One bee.
Where did I see you before?
Long ago, I was an egg,
Then a larva…
Now I produce honey
While meeting beautiful flowers.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Someone in disguise.
Guess my metamorphosis,
My name, my looks.
The reward is a childhood dream.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?

Grasshopper,
Asking for the butterfly
To visit me today and tomorrow.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Woodpecker,
To tell the butterfly catcher
Hunting is no fun.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
A boy and a girl
Asking the grasshopper
For lessons in gardening.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Your teacher, the seed.
